There are various methods on how to make money as a teenager and in most cases it just comes down to how inventive they are or how hard they are willing to work for this cash. There is no doubt however that with a bit of effort they can easily add some extra cash to the pocket money that they get from their parents.
A popular way is to offer neighbors to wash their cars and this can mean on a nice sunny day they can make a fair amount depending on where they live and how fast they work. This does not take much to set up as you only need a bucket, sponge, some soap, and the ability to rinse it off and you are good to go and it also does not take that long to do a single vehicle.
Perhaps the most common way, or most well known method, is to get a paper round but this is perhaps best if the early starts are not going to be a problem. They also need to go out in any weather at all but if they are able to get past these problems then there is the potential to earn some reasonable cash on a weekly basis.
During the summer months another alternative is to offer to cut lawns for different people especially those in their area that are busy working during the day. They often do not want to then go and cut their lawn at night or the weekend as they would prefer to do other, nicer things so there is the chance of making some cash by either using their lawnmower or getting your own.
Washing windows for people is another cheap way to earn some cash as again all you need are a few tools and you can get started. This is a chore that a lot of people hate doing and there are actually some people that have made a fortune from this kind of thing and cleaning windows does not have to take an age either meaning you can get a few done in just a matter of hours.
Depending on their actual age it may be possible to get a part time job working a few hours on a weekend in a local store. There are a range of places that may be looking for extra staff and this can actually be very good experience for later on in their lives as they learn how to deal with the public and answer any enquiries that they may have.
They can of course combine several of these ideas as obviously some are better suited to the better weather than others. Working together with other teenagers can also mean they get more done and earn more cash but of course it then has to be split two ways which may put some people off.
There are therefore various ways on how to make money as a teenager and it just comes down to how willing they are to work and how creative they are in coming up with ways to earn cash. These are just a few of the more common ones out there but it varies depending on where they live.
